Bill Rothermel

Grand Marshall


Bill has had a lifelong interest in cars, both small and large. An automotive historian and avid collector of miniature automobiles and automobilia; Bill’s interests range from the cars of the Classic Era, to muscle cars, European sportscars and automobile racing of all kinds.

Bill authors the program book for the Lancaster ( Pennsylvania) Museum of Art’s annual Artistry In Motion where he has served as its Grand Marshal narrating the Parade of Award Winners since 1999.

He is a member of the car selection committee for the Concours D’Elegance of the Eastern United States, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and serves as its Grand Marshal working alongside acclaimed automotive historian Beverly Rae Kimes. As a freelance writer, Bill has written numerous feature articles for various national, international and club publications. He is a contributing editor for both the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum newsletter and AutoEvents Magazine. Bill serves annually as the Master of Ceremonies for the York Concours d’Elegance, York, Pennsylvania. He is currently researching a book on Lancaster Pennsylvania’s early automotive history and the Charles Schutte Body Company, a coachbuilder from 1910-1926.


Bill is an Associate Broker with RE/AMX Associates of Lancaster in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and resides part-time in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
